It’s Time for Americans, Especially Politicians, to Embrace the American’s Creed

United States America Trump USA AmericansAs an Army Vietnam veteran and avid lover of America, I am thoroughly disgusted with all the bickering, divisiveness, and race-baiting currently exhibited by many of our national politicians and other Americans.  It is truly time to put aside self interest and party loyalty to genuinely unite and move America forward as the world’s last best hope of liberty and freedom.

It’s a safe bet that most Americans do not know that year 2018 is the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the American’s Creed by the United States Congress (House of Representatives).  In April of 1918, the Congress accepted the words composed in 1917 by William Tyler Page during World War I as the official American’s Creed which reads as follows:

“I believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a Republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect Union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my Country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws; to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.”

Referring to the Creed, Mister Page said: “It is the summary of the fundamental principles of the American political faith as set forth in its greatest documents, its worthiest traditions, and its greatest leaders.” His wording of the Creed used passages and phrases from the Declaration of Independence, the Preamble to the Constitution, Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, and Daniel Webster’s reply to Robert Y. Hayne in the Senate in 1830.

In today’s bitter and divisive political environment, which some people believe has significantly contributed to various degrees of lawlessness in America, a commitment by all Americans to live by the words of the American’s Creed would certainly be in the best interests of our great nation.  Let us vow to make it so.

It is my opinion that if the Republication Congress and Senate do not vote for President Trump’s agenda they should be voted out of office. We should let the people we vote into office know that they should vote as their constituency want them to vote and help President Trump “drain the swamp”.

Muslims must understand that they have to adapt to our way of life and to our customs and traditions, because that’s where THEY CHOSE to immigrate.
They must understand that they have to integrate and learn to live in OUR culture.
They must understand that THEY have to change their lifestyle, not we Americans who have so generously welcomed them.
Muslims must understand that Americans are neither racist nor xenophobic. We accepted many immigrants before the sorry Muslims showed up, whereas the reverse is not true, Muslim states do not accept non-Muslim immigrants.
Muslims must understand that Americans are not willing to give up their identity or their culture just because another group of third world refugees showed up.
For Muslims who disagree with the above and do not feel comfortable in America, there are 57 beautiful Muslim countries in the world, most of them under-populated and ready to receive them with open halal arms in accordance with Sharia.
If Muslims left their own country for America and not for other Muslim countries, it is because they have considered that life is better here than elsewhere. We will
not let you drag America down to the level of those 57 countries.

Ask yourself this question – just once: “Why is it better here than where you came from?” Stop trying to change OUR country.

Finally, If you came to America with the idea that you will displace us with your propagation and eventually take over OUR country, TAKE YOUR CRAP AND GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM. We will fight to keep what is ours. Read your history.

We have no room for you here and your sick ideology.

Thank you for that. I did not know about the American’s Creed. We must keep our history alive and realize our freedoms are not free.
